1968 MINI *PROJECT*

Let’s start with the disclaimer - This is a project or parts car. No sugarcoating it, it needs a full restoration and by someone who knows what needs doing, not for the faint of heart. Full overview below of the condition.

Was a planned (very big) restoration that never kicked off really apart from removing a lot of the old, worn parts (still a-lot more to do, obviously). It has sat for 3 years here in Los Angeles, I got it cheap and it was in worse condition than I'd been led to believe, but never had the time to get to it.Relocating and this one isn't worth taking with me.

1968 VIN / paperwork which is worth value itself. Has the import paperwork, UK V5 (Says 1968) and a bill of sale but no US title. I can get a Montana title for the buyer at buyers expenses if needed.

LHD. Was last used 15 years ago, but it was not stored well in the UK.Lots of parts obviously not true to 1968.Engine is a 10H 1098cc so not the original. Mostly complete, when I took the head off and down to the pistons it did rotate by hand. No rocker assembly or valves or springs. Push rods are there and straight.

Doors are bad, both sides hard to open fully. Bonnet lid needs replacing, floor pans need replacing, cross member is bad (I would replace the whole floor) seals are worn, sills rusted. Rust in quite a few places per photos. Paint is bad in lots of places.

Glass seems good.Interior is rough, dash dials seem OK. Electrical will all need redoing.

Wheels and tires seem OK. Brakes also will need replacing.

What you see is what you get. Sold as is.

No reserve, must have it collected (towed of course) from Los Angeles area. It does roll...

Again, this is a non-op large-scale projector to be used for parts / the cars docs itself...
