I am selling my summertime fair weather only toy. I purchased this roadster during the summer of 2010 from an older gentleman in Harbor Springs, Mi. for my use while vacationing annually in that area. This car was his pride and joy. My first order of business was to have a variety of oil leaks fixed. I placed the B in the hands of a local foreign car specialist who said the engine and transmission had to be pulled in order to do a proper reseal. One thing led to another and the mechanic wound up doing a lower end rebuild, etc (invoice total $3,278.09). The car was then placed into proper winter storage. the previous owner had spent big bucks on cosmetics; new paint job on a rust free body (base/clear), deluxe interior kit from England, trunk dress-up kit, new top, etc. certain other upgrades needed to be made so, when I took the car out of storage in the summer of 2011, I replaced the front and rear bumpers along with the guards, new grille, refinished Rostyle rims and trim rings, correct side view mirrors, rubber floor mats, and some of the stainless side moldings plus emblems. I then proceeded to enjoy the car's use for the rest of that summer. Then, prior to going back into storage, I commissioned a local restorer and MGB enthusiast to redo the entire engine compartment to "as new" appearance as possible. He did a superb job at a cost to me of $2,239.47 (I was supplied with a complete series of photos showing the process/progress). Then car was placed into storage for the winter of 2011/2012. Since that time, I have focused my annual efforts on continued proper care and as much summer only road-time enjoyment as fair skies would allow. During my years of ownership, I have driven the car approximately 700 miles annually (the odometer is probably correct at 112,060). This MGB has been recently taken out of winter storage for me by the engine compartment restorer (located in Harbor Springs, Mi.) who has driven it to insure proper operation. He will keep the car in his garage until it is sold. Just as a reminder, this is a properly functioning overdrive car. The MGB is being sold "as is" without warranty either written or implied. After the auction, transport is entirely the responsibility of the winning bidder although seller will help facilitate. The car has a Florida title and registration. Full payment must be received within five business days at auction's end either by wire transfer or bank check (no pay pal or personal check). The car and title will not be released until total funds are secured by me in my bank account. bidder's are urged to see the car in person if at all possible, or, feel free to call me in person, cell 386-299-4005 (Frank) with any genuine questions (please no tire kickers or wannabees, don't waste my time or yours). Only serious bidders please and good luck. All receipts, photographs, and documentation will be sent to the new owner.
