1962 MG MGA Additional Info:
This lovely MGA is a perfect driver with a lot of vintage charm! This particular "A" shows 51,232 original miles on the clock and runs strong! It is a Heritage Trust documented car and is listed on the North American MGA Register as car number 6309. It is one of only 8,719 that were produced between 1960 & 1962, 1962 being the final year of production. Cosmetically the car is in good condition considering the age of the paint. According to the previous owner it was repainted with lacquer in the 70's in it's original color. The paint work shows multiple scratches, small chips, dings and scuffs but still presents extremely well, being old lacquer paint it shows some "crazing" in spots as well. There are no sizable dents or signs of previous collisions, the car is also rust free with only the forward corner of the rear fenders showing previous repairs (pictured). 60 spoke chrome wire wheels with Vredestine tires have replaced the original 48 spoke painted wheels, however the original wheels are included in the sale. The interior is in great condition as a high quality reproduction vinyl kit along with new carpeting has been installed throughout the cabin. The original side curtains and storage bag are present and the side curtains fit well with the new convertible top. A high quality canvas tonneau cover is also included. The previous owner also fitted wing windows, tinted visors, a luggage rack and a vintage, leather wrapped "Fittipaldi Formula One" steering wheel. The 1622cc OHV inline four engine starts easily, idles and runs beautifully. Upgrades include: Pertronix Flame Thrower distributor and sport coil, stainless steel exhaust and a radiator shroud to help ensure cool running. The 4 speed transmission shifts positively and smoothly and the final drive works as it should with no gear whine or odd noises. Being a mostly original British roadster it does leak a bit after a drive from the engine, transmission and rear axle. The front disk and rear drum brakes stop the car well and has very good pedal feel, as does the clutch. The car comes with the original owners handbook and a large folder of receipts and various documentation. This car is sold as is, where is, with no warranty. Buyers in the state of Arizona will be liable to pay any and all applicable state taxes and fees. Thanks for looking! - Enthusiast Motors sales team
