1952 MG T-Series Mark II Additional Info:
Here is a very nice 1952 MG TD Mark II. I have a had 3 52 MG TD's in my time one this planet but this is my first Mark II. I do not have a ton of information on this car but I'll tell you what I know. The last owner lived in Durango, Colorado and he purchased the car for the person who restored it, and had it for 3-4 years although this is all just word of mouth. There was also an owner before me that had the car for less than 2 weeks, sometimes before one buys a toy the need to ask permission. So now I have the car and it is a great little car it runs and drives great, the brakes could probably use a bleeding as the pressure is a bit low, the top is newer and looks and fits great but the side curtains are much older and faded, but they are there. The paint is in great shape and shines well. The bright work is all very nice but appears original and not rechromed. This interior is also very nice with nice carpet and a recondition "bucket seats" at least that is what MG called them. The engine someone spent some money on, not only all the polishing and chroming but a nice preservation of all the stamps and you will also see new gaskets through out. I was told it was rebuilt during the restoration but again I have no paperwork to back this up. It runs great, starts right up and has about 50 psi of oil pressure. Although I did not get any pictures of the frame it appears to be a frame off restoration and the undercarriage look phenomenal. The Mark II had slightly more HP, and larger carburetors, which is why there is a bulge in the hood, and a slightly stiffened suspension, out of around 50,000 TDs sold worldwide only 1700 were Mark II. If you are in the market for a fun summer cruiser, this could be it and please feel free to reach out with any questions.
