Here is agorgeous example of the iconic MGTD Mark II models! This exquisite Mark II competition roadster is number 1,127 of only 1,710 ever built between 1950 and 1953. Out of that limited production, just 700 units were a left-hand wheel, set aside for export to the U.S. market.
Under the bonnet, one's eyes are immediately drawn to its charming craftsmanship, nicely accentuated by the aluminum valve cover, chromed air breathers, satin finish SU carburetors and the brilliance of the brass radiator mantel - all original, and numbers matching!
A complete frame-up restoration was done circa 1969. After restoration, this Competition Roadster was only used as a Sunday driver for many years, then it semi-retired and it was only driven a few times a year to shows and parades in Riverside, CA
This formidable machine, although a viable trailer-queen, can be best appreciated full throttle on the road, a reminiscent of its competition days! Always stored inside and well maintained, odometer reads 7,701, believed to be original miles.
Recently restored to enhance its attributes and preserve its original '69 patina. It proudly bears minor character trades that handsomely attest to itsjourney. This MKll drives and shows incredibly well and it is ready for its next chapter.

HISTORY
Prior to the start of WWII, Britain had been a leader in the world of affordable sports cars and one of the top manufacturers had been MG automobiles. Representing Morris Garage, which had started as an agent for the other British brand of automobile that used that same name, MG was designed for the sporting crowd. While better known for producing economical sportsters, there were a few custom coachwork versions on MG chassis produced and these were a favorite among anyone who felt a little extra need for speed. MG cars were well engineered and lived up to their company slogan of "Safety Fast."
