1946 MG T-Series TC Additional Info:
Recent factory trials car restoration/rebuild homage. Early model: VIN "TC 0480," translates as the 229th TC built at Abingdon. Registered as 'FUP 822' in Grimsby UK, in 1946. New body tub and new factory racing colors paint; period-correct modifications include cycle fenders, al-fin brakes, coffin valve cover, XK 120 headlight lenses, vintage plinth-type aero screens, J-2 Midget seats, engine-turned dash, knobby tires - plus curtains, top, tonneau, more. Extra pair (2) of wire wheels, each boxed by manufacturer. New water pump, new hoses, new speedo cable, new brake shoes and newly serviced carburetors completed on October 10th, to ensure safety and prompt sale. Engine and car were detailed on October 14th. Garaged and daily-driven to work for about five miles round-trip for the past fifteen years. History of MG 'Gathering of the Faithful' participation. Actual mileage estimated. 1940's style and performance, not quite perfection (the e-brake stops the car but cannot be engaged to hold the car while parked, and the tires need to be replaced)...but Safety Fast!
Also available and for sale separately (to the vehicle purchaser) is a newly rebuilt Shorrock supercharger (with a correct SU carburetor), ready for installation, but some engine mods to strengthen bottom-end will be needed first. Inquire for details.
Inspections encouraged (no warranties, express or implied) and reasonable offers (hint: offering 50% of the asking price is a waste of time) entertained. Please feel free to ask questions. 10% non-refundable deposit must clear within one calendar day; full payment must clear within three calendar days. No exceptions. Car is advertised locally and elsewhere. Contact seller for inspection details.
