1964 Mercury Comet Caliente Additional Info:

Mercury Comet . Purchased over twenty years ago, from a nice middle aged lady. I used it as a daily driver for years. Then I began dreams of a drag race car. It now has a mild cam, headers, Holley 4 bbl carb. This car has been completely rewired ... headlights to tali lights. I have a Ford 8 inch center section with a spool and a set of 4.88 gears. They are in a container now... when I had the 4.88 gears in the car ... it was really quick at the drags, but totally impractical as a daily driver !!! During this “drag Race car period” I took my Old Milwaukee Sawzall and completely cut out the inner fender wells along with the rusted sections of the outer fenders. Sadly, this car has fallen out of favor with my family and my high classed neighborhood. Let me add, that, this car left the factory painted a strange shade of “Baby Blue/Easter Egg Blue”!!!!! Then it was painted Metallic Medium. Then, i sanded it down to a multi cloored combination of “blues” which I and many others considered to be beautiful. Sadly, yet again, society caused me to sand everything down, and repaint it in a flat black “primer-sealer”.Let me mention one thing .... I’m 60 years old ..... I’m not that good with internet technology ..... however ...
