No Reserve Auction 1 of 56 ever built
For sale is a very rare 1970 Mercury Cougar XR7 convertible factory 4 speed. Runs and drivers good. Marti report shows 1 of 56 were ever built as a manual transmission. with 351c comboFactory green with a black top. Now its cloned as a Eliminator and had a complete restoration in the early 90s. Has a original eliminator hood with scoop on it. Paint is still very nice and interior is also very nice. It has had both quarter panels replaced and floors. Has been stored in a garage for the last 20 years and has probably only gone 3000 mines. It has a fresh tune up and runs good. It has a Edelbrock intake and carb on it and MSD ignition. We do not have the original parts. The transmission was rebuilt 2000 miles ago with a new clutch put in then also. The car has power front disc brakes that work great. The power top also works great. The left quarter is starting to get a crack in the paint and the drivers door paint is getting thin from buffing. The speedometer is the only gauge that works. Non of the electrical gauges work. The top has a dime size hole above the driver that could be fixed or patched. These cars are Ford Mustangs with more dressed up bodys.
