Beautiful 1973 Mercedes 450 SLC Coupe with WA collector car license plates. 4 wheel disc brakes, power windows, power sunroof, 3-Speed Automatic Transmission, vacuum operated locks, 4.5L OHC V8 with Bosch Jettronic fuel injection. Original Becker Grand Prix AM/FM Radio. This car is in very nice condition, runs and drives well. Includes valet and master keys. There are a few minor issues: AC no longer works, suspension could use updating, runs slightly rough when cold, small scratch on driver side, two small cracks in dash (barely noticeable from the driver seat).
During their production run, the C107 was the pinnacle of the Mercedes line-up, and was the last Mercedes coupe to be based on a roadster (R107) rather than a sedan. 1973 was the only year these were available in the US without the less attractive "federalized bumpers." C107 coupes are increasingly collectible. During their 8 years of production, they built only 31,739 of these, and this one is chassis #400 (based on the VIN).
The car is currently used for occasional drives in good weather (family drives, car-shows, etc);but couldbe used as a daily driver, or as a candidate for afull-restoration.
