Hello and thank you for looking at my auction. My name is Joe and I sell vehicles differently than most dealers. Buying your next car or truck through one of my NO RESERVE auctions is the best way to take the games out of your next automotive purchase. I personally road test each vehicle before it is offered for sale so I can give you my first hand opinion of how it runs and drives. Please keep in mind that I am not a mechanic. Each vehicle is represented accurately and honestly to the best of my knowledge and ability. Please take the time to read this entire description as well as our Terms & Conditions carefully BEFORE asking questions or placing a bid as most answers can be found in at least one of those places. An administrative fee of $149 will be added to the final bid of each auction.
Up for a NO RESERVE auction is a very rare 1994 Mercedes Benz E320 Coupe. I would rate the exterior of this E320 to be in AVERAGE CONDITION for its age and mileage. As you can see, this is a good looking coupe. I've always been partial to the pillarless coupe, and the W124 chassis is no exception. The classic lines of this car will never go out of style. The black finish shows well for its age and looks good on this coupe. As with any older vehicle, please expect a few flaws and imperfections commensurate with age and mileage. On this specific E320, the finish shows some age in spots as well as a few normal scratches here and there. The only other thing worth pointing out is a crack in the rear bumper cover on the left side behind the wheel along the molding line. The finish looks smooth. All of the body cladding is intact and shows well. All of the glass and lenses are intact, too. The factory alloy wheels show well and are wrapped in a nice set of rubber with good tread all around. Please take your time and check out each of the photos carefully to see how clean this E320 looks inside and out. Pride in ownership shows throughout this coupe.
I would rate the exterior of this E320 to be in ABOVE AVERAGE CONDITION for its age and mileage. The door cards are clean and tight. The carpets show well throughout the interior. There is a tear on the back rest of the passenger's seat, which you should be able to see in the photos. Otherwise, the leather seats show very well and are comfortable. The wood interior veneers also show well and indicate that this E320 most likely spent her life in a garage. The power windows, seats, mirrors, sunroof and central locks all work properly. You'll need the code for the radio. I replaced the battery, which is why the anti-theft feature is active. If I have time, I'll get the code before the auction ends. The climate control system is fully automatic and appears to be working properly. The heater works well but the air conditioner will need charged or serviced as it does not blow cold air. The trunk is spacious and clean. Again, pride in ownership shows throughout this Mercedes. Please take the time to check out each of the photos carefully.
Mechanically, this Mercedes appears to be in good running and driving condition. The 3.2L inline six cylinder engine starts easily and runs smoothly. I didn't notice any leaks and the engine doesn't smoke. Her road manners are excellent for an older car. The suspension feels tight and well sorted. Steering and braking feel good, too. The engine keeps perfect temperature and excellent oil pressure, which is very important. She makes good power and feels as smooth as silk. This car recently had the transmission replaced, which is a common problem with these. I looked and looked and looked for a transmission from an acceptable donor car, as I am fairly picky with my Merc's. My patience paid off and I found a beautiful, clean, low mile E320 that had been wrecked. I had the existing fluid checked before purchasing the transmission to make sure it had the proper fluid in it and everything looked good. This car has a 90k mile transmission in it out of an absolutely gorgeous E320 sedan. I had the transmission serviced and filled with the PROPER fluid, which is extremely important as these transmissions are very sensitive. The result is a transmission that engages subtly and shifts perfectly smooth. The next owner shouldn't have to worry about any transmission issues for quite some time. Since the car sat for a while during my search for the perfect transmission, the brakes are a tad noisy...but that should take care of itself just by being driven. Out on the highway, she drives nice and straight with absolutely no complaints. If you've been looking for a clean W124 coupe, this E320 deserves your serious consideration. Thanks for looking and good luck bidding.
