1989 Mercedes-Benz SL-Class Additional Info:

Gorgeous example of the final year of this iconic model. This three-owner 560SL is what you would expect for a low-mileage roadster. I would describe condition as excellent, as the pictures show. Zero accident history, Carfax verified. Hard and soft top come with the car, both in excellent shape. The paint is beautiful, but it is original and there are a few places where I have touched up minor rock chips. All to be expected after nearly 30 years of life, but I mention them primarily to encourage in-person inspection of this incredible car. An aftermarket pinstripe has been removed, and where it was (and the entire vehicle) carefully polished and professionally waxed. The care is gorgeous in any light, but I've provided a variety of pictures in different settings so bidders can see for themselves. AM radio does not work (FM does). Dash is perfect and without cracks. Tires are newer and have only a few thousand miles on them. Soft top in very good condition (see pictures). Car starts immediately, runs perfectly, drives straight, and is a head-turner. I believe nautilus blue to be the prettiest color on this car, but it was a special order in 1989. Blue leather is in very good condition (see pictures). Some wear is discernible, but only upon close inspection. Feel free to ask questions and call with inquiries. I also own a pair of Euro bumpers I will let go for $1000 ONLY to buyer of vehicle, if interested. Extra set of rims also available. Reasonable, but firm, reserve. I'm selling because these cars are a hobby of mine and there is nothing left for me to do on this one other than install the bumpers. Rather than do that, I'll let the future owner decide which look is preferred.

Update: Several people have asked for additional pictures, including the engine bay and tire tread, which are added. I neglected to mention there is a very small ding in the rear bumper chrome, which I have photographed from above. The size of a pea, but not deep, it is located slightly to the right of the MB star and can barely be seen. It could be easily repaired, but since I planned to install the Euro bumpers I have not yet done so. I also have added a photograph of the Euro bumpers and extra rims that are for sale only to the winning bidder. The front bumper was missing a rubber center piece when the photo was taken, but that has now been replaced. On the front Euro bumper, a small repair in the chrome was made that can still be detected on close inspection, and a photograph of that is also now attached. The repair is at the tip of my thumb in the photo. Also, the rear valance of the Euro bumper will need to be painted to match the car (it is currently teal). I do not have Euro headlamps to complete the conversion.

Update #2: Air conditioning and heater work perfectly. My review of the car shows no rust at all, which is not surprising given that the car spent the bulk of its life in El Paso and is now in New Mexico, where things don't rust. Again, I encourage in person inspection to interested buyers. I have found that inthe vintage/investment car market, it is well worth a trip to see for yourself what you are buying.
