1979 Mercedes-Benz 280E W123 Gasoline 96K Miles All Original Clean Title

For sale is my 1979 Mercedes-Benz 280E, finished in red over a beige/tan interior. The odometer currently shows approximately 96,500 miles, and the car has a clean title.

This is the less commonly seen raregasoline-powered W123 280E, equipped with the desirable 2.8-liter M110 inline-six engine, an automatic transmission, and rear-wheel drive. Most W123 models encountered in the United States are diesels, making a gasoline 280E like this an uncommon and interesting example.

The car remains in original condition and has been well preserved for its age VERY VERY CLEAN INTERIOR ONE OF THE CLEANEST W123 INTERIORS IVE EVER SEEN AND IM A MERCEDES COLLECTIOR . It starts easily, runs smoothly, shifts properly, and drives very well. There are currently no known mechanical repairs needed, and it is ready to be driven and enjoyed.

Vehicle Highlights

  • Approximately 96,500 miles

  • Clean title

  • 2.8-liter M110 gasoline inline-six engine

  • Automatic transmission

  • Rear-wheel drive

  • Original red exterior

  • Beige/tan interior

  • Original overall configuration

  • All power windows operate properly

  • Radio works

  • Heater works

  • A/C system operates but would benefit from a refrigerant recharge to blow colder

  • Runs and drives excellent

  • No mechanical issues

The engine feels strong, the automatic transmission shifts as it should, and the car is comfortable and enjoyable to drive. All four power windows go up and down, the radio is working, and the heater operates properly.

The air-conditioning system operates, but the cooling performance would benefit from a refrigerant recharge. Other than that, the car does not currently need any known mechanical work.

The W123 is known for its excellent build quality, durability, comfortable ride, and classic Mercedes-Benz styling. This 280E offers those qualities along with the smoother and more responsive gasoline inline-six engine.

This is a nearly 50-year-old original vehicle, so normal age-related cosmetic wear and imperfections should be expected. Please examine all photographs carefully for the vehicle’s exterior, interior, and overall condition. I have made every effort to describe the car honestly and accurately.
