Introducing "Isabella" my '89 560SL in all her beauty:
The 1989 Mercedes-Benz SL-Class SL is a classic convertible car with a luxurious burgundy interior and a sleek white exterior. This 2-seater vehicle features an automatic transmission, 8 cylinders, and a powerful 5.6 L engine. With safety features such as driver airbag, fog lights, and anti-lock brakes, this German-made car also boasts amenities like power windows, cruise control, and leather seats. This Mercedes-Benz SL-Class is a timeless treasure for any car enthusiast looking for a stylish and reliable classic car.
First off,as mentioned this is a fine example of aMercedes Classicand I've had many Mercedes over the years and this one truly stands out as it is very original.
For example: Original paint, even the pinstripe looks likes new, no dents or rust areas, all body gaps are correct, garaged, excellent chrome, all glass original, everything works except the cruise control and maybe I'll have that sorted out before the sale, all four matching Michelin 205/65R15 tires with few miles on them, the alloy wheels are scratch free with no "rash" on them. Repairs made lately: Front and rear brake calipers, rotors, pads, master cylinder and brake lines plus fuel accumulator, new wool seat covers, at 98,881 miles, new German soft top (special order} with all new window seals, matching Hardtop (looks like new, really), engine oil and filter changed 98,900 miles,CARFAXreport is included, new hard top stand, original tool kit and First Aid Kit is there too. Further, new dash cover, chrome door sills, Sony Radio with bluetooth and CD, service records from Carfax and current repair records some documentation and the build sheet. Just email me for more information about "Isabella" and I'll try my best to give you accurate answers from me as a Huge Mercedes Fan (I've been to the Main Mercedes Plant in Sindelfingen, Germany 87 times starting in 1981 while living in Germany) and Club Member for over 40 years here and in Germany. Also, there are a few videos and more pictures of the car that I could email you, call/text 443 454 2829 I'll have my cell phone with me East Coast Time! I've put lots of effort into Isabella and probably too old to drive her around Ormond Beach and need the garage space for my wife's ML.
Interesting Note:Because of the limited one-year availability, the 1989 model is now the rarest and most sought-after year for collectors of the 560SL, this particular car is an August 1989 so it must be near the last ones produced as Mercedes was introducing the new W129
