I would like to share some points to help in expressing what makes this 1992 Mercedes 300CE, so special and why it should be added to your collection.

I am a believer on what may have been un-obtainable in our youth is what we seek as we get older. I believe that this may have something to do with the noticeable increase for the 1980s and 1990?s cars being seen as collectable cars now in the marketplace. I cannot think of a better example of that market than this timeless design from Bruno Sacco.

This designed that help define the Icons of my youth seen on TV, movies, music videos, album and magazine covers. They were the cars of the hipsters and the trend sitters with more of a youthful vibe compared to the other great cars found in the last of the great Mecedes Line-ups. But they also were built to a standard and not to cost. As the price of this example was over $60k when new.

Among the Mecedes line up collector cars from that late 80?s/90?s era, the300CEis a bit of a middle child, placed between the 500SL/SL500 and the 560SEC. This is surprising as these were such a trendsetter and amazingly built low production cars, with a total of only 13,160 300CE coupes built between 1988 and 1995, and only a total of 1,846 built in 1992. This is less than half the number of 500SL cars that were built during the same year.

The search I had in finding this one was challenging, but worth the effort. I was able to obtain this addition in my collection in Nov 2022, after finding it nested away in a garage since 2012 (according to the previous owner and expired tags on the car). This could account for the low miles for it?s age at 83,xxx however there has been a great effort in ensuring that it is more than road worthy since this discovery as seen above.
