The 380SL combined all that Mercedes learned about the V-8 R107 chassis cars into a cultural icon that quietly and confidently told the world its occupants had "arrived." Simplicity, superb build quality, and an enduring design are all hallmarks of the Mercedes 380SL. The R107 chassis was one of the longest running production bodies in the Diamler-Benz AG's line, and R107s are extremely well built and collectable. It is also the first V8 powered two-seater to be built at the Stuttgart, Germany factory.

Few vehicles are as distinctive and unique as the 107 chassis Mercedes-Benz vehicles. Although there are other vehicles that are instantly recognizable - the Gullwing Mercedes, the '57 Chevy, and the DeLorean to name a few - there is no other vehicle so classy, yet affordable as a 107 chassis Mercedes-Benz.

This SL was sitting idle for the past few years and was rarely used due to its owner’s age and health issues. Its owner would crank it up and drive it around the block every few weeks or so to make sure car is kept drivable, and engine lubricated.

Engine starts up right up, and this SL runs and drives. 1984 380SL comes with a more durable double row timing chain from the factory, unlike its earlier model years.

This beauty comes in elegant Champagne Metallic paint (color code #473H Champagner) over Brazil Brown interior!!

Champagne Metallic paint is showing its age and the car will need to be repainted.

Interior is complete but it will need to be reupholstered.

Power windows work as they should.
