This is a barn find 1974 Mercedes 280c model 114 two door, coupe. The former owner lost the title to this car, and we purchased it for the parts and the interior. The car has a twin cam straight six cylinder engine in it, which is actually in running condition although it cannot be driven. The transmission also works as do the brakes. The interior is in very good condition as is the headliner, the door panels, the instrument panel, and even the dash only has one small crack. It also has the original Becker Eurona am/fm stereo radio in place. The car is truly a time capsule and would be a fantastic source for hard to find parts. The grill, the fog lights, the headlight surrounds the various trim, the front rear bumpers, the glass, the tail lights, and all of the very difficult to locate parts or still with his car, and that is the picture show the headlights work as to the fog lights and the turn signals. As a matter fact, most of the electrical system seems to be in decent working order.
Once again, if you’re restoring a 1974 Mercedes 280c, this complete parts vehicle might be your source to improve and finish your project. We had considered dismantling the entire car, but we were told by Mercedes enthusiast that anyone who wanted to use us for parts would want to remove the parts themselves to make sure they got all of the attached hardware.
