1983 Mercedes-Benz 200-Series Additional Info:
Mercedes-Benz 200-Series . Condition is Used. Remanufactured 240D Engine total miles 79k miles, Model year is 1983, total vehicle miles are 354017 (April 2020). Odometer is fully operational. Vehicle features:MANUAL TRANSMISSION, Manual window cranks, Very good cold weather starter. Has block heater, rarely need to use it above 0F. Winter tires: M+S 195/70R14. New items on car, Oct 2010: Floor panels replaced with 14 gauge steel, painted with POR paint. Nov 2018: New fuel lines: "Copper-Nickle" material. Oct 2019: Rebuilt Starter motor.Jan 2020 New rear brake discs + Pads, Newer (~2016) Front disc brakes (estimated 15k miles), Snow tires on steel rims, see pictures. 8 Problems: (1) Ignition Key works, but not the cranking switch function.(2) Cranking uses a momentary switch for starting via a miniature 2nd key switch + relay. but vacuum turn off switch works correctly for fuel pump shut off. (3) Exhaust pipe broke at resonator entry, bolted together with piece of extra pipe, still leaks (4) Exhaust is quite noisy when driving up hill. (5)Floor is solid but rocker panels are getting worse. (6) Left-rear trunk rusted out, replaced with steel insert. (7) Tension adjustment for alternator belt not working right (8) Grill suffered hail damage in Spring 2017.
