Bare metal respray. All new chrome, bumpers and grill. This 1966 Mercedes-Benz 200 was reportedly sold new from Sheppard Service in Cincinnati, Ohio, and was refurbished under previous ownership in the 1990s before going to a collection in Georgia. Then we acquired it approximately seven years ago. The car is finished in black over a beige interior, and power is provided by a twin-carbureted 2.0L inline-four paired with a four-speed automatic transmission. Service in December 2019 included rebuilding the carburetors and adjusting the valves, along with a new air filter, distributor cap, rotor, spark plugs, and an oil change. This W110 Fintail (Heckflosse) is now offered with service records, factory books and manuals, a copy of the Mercedes-Benz data card, and a clean New York title. We state the body was refinished in black Glasurit with clear coat under previous ownership, and that the chrome bumpers were replaced along with the grille. The paint, glass, and trim are shown up close in the gallery below. Factory 13″ steel wheels feature polished hubcaps with color-matched centers. Michelin all-season tires are mounted and measure 185/80. The shocks and springs were replaced in 2014. The cabin is upholstered in beige vinyl with darker brown materials on the dash and in the carpets. Equipment includes, seat belts, a Tonmeister I radio, crank windows, and a heater. The door seals and window were replaced under previous ownership. Vertically-oriented VDO instrumentation is augmented by gauges for fuel, coolant temperature, and oil pressure. Approximately 54k miles are shown on the odometer. The M121 2.0L inline-four sends power to the rear wheels through a four-speed automatic transmission.
