1971 Mercedes-Benz 200-Series 220D Additional Info:
I bought this with no key, The locksmiths I have contacted want to rip me off, It is no a chip key did not have that 45 years ago. I am still going to try some others. The owner I got it from said it was running when he parked it 2 years ago. I have a lot of photos showing all the bad spots. For this 45 year old car it what I think it in remarkable condition. I think the real bad parts are the windshield and rear window molding are dri rotted bad. You can also see the back window molding is coming off. The rockers are good inside the doors does have some rust holes on drivers side front outside lower rocker. (In Photo) Now also has the common clear coat pealing on the top side hood, roof, and trunk. This a nice solid car for parts or resto or parts. I can not say anything about the motor with no key so selling as is. I know it sounds like an excuse but this the way I bought it, Cause I knew it was worth more in parts if I have to go that route. If I can get a decent price on getting a key made price will change. If she is running anddrivingfor sure !!!!!! OH By the way I am about 10minutes from Myrtle Beach, So if you bring a trailer or tow dolly you may drop it here and load it then grab it when you leave.
