1986 Mercedes 300SDL Turbo Diesel Inline Six, M603 engine
Car is one family owned since new. Needs body work/paint. This car is what I would term a "mechanics special". It has had the recall on the carbon trap, and new turbo installed in the last few thousand miles. Just had the brakes and bearings on the front done, New Rotors and Pads- Last 100 Miles. A guy that works at Ray's upholstery installed Mercedes power leather seats. I was planing on gifting the car to my niece but she wanted a cooler car so off it goes, Runs great, fresh glow plugs insure quick start every time.
BUT -- It Has the following issues, that need to be fixed it has a main seal leak ($20-$30 dollar part but four to eight hours to install), transmission shifter bushing also a $30 dollar part) needs to be replaced, Sunroof is not working, Needs new heater core, Drivers window regulator and motor need to be replaced, Also an Ignition switch tumbler issue - I have the new one as well. Great Bio-Diesel conversion candidate!
I was planning on doing a 560SEC front end conversion on it when I repainted it, so I have a 560SEC Aluminum hood, the 'stealth' hood locks, Euro lights, and AMG bumper available Spent over $1,950 on I will throw in at $750 if you want them. Comes with the paperwork as pictured and receipts for about $ 4,200 in repairs and maintenance
With the seats, brakes, and recent mechanical work I put over $1,800 into it for her.
I was planing on scraping the car with the CARB buy back program, I had pre-arranged to retire the car. I was on my way to the pick and pull wondering if it was the right thing to do, and when I got there I though it would just be a shame to crush this car I'm sure someone could use it.
Please no shenanigans, Questions, Just ask
