1987 Mercedes Benz 560 SEC “One Owner! 57K Miles! Freshly Serviced! Clean Carfax!”
VIN WDBCA45D4HA326319
The Classic Car Gallery is proud to present this rare, low mileage Mercedes Benz 560 SEC. Back in 1987 this was Mercedes’ flagship sports coupe and carried a pricetag of over $70,000!!! It was the top of the line Mercedes and the most expensive Mercedes you could buy at the time; less than 4,000 units came off of the production line. It features the venerable, hand built 5.6L V8 mated to an overdrive 4 speed automatic transmission. The transmission featured a limited slip differential. This SEC is a one owner car with only 57,000 original miles on the clock. It boasts a clean Carfax with no gaps in mileage or ownership, the original title shows that the car was sold new to the first owner. To give it a more sporty look and improve handling this car was outfitted, from new, with genuine AMG suspension and a set of genuine AMG monoblock wheels. This flagship Benz has just received more than $6000 worth repairs and maintenance work in the past month. The following is a list of the repairs;
Both fuel pumps
Front brake discs, pads and sensors
Rear brake discs, pads and sensors
All fluids including but not limited to oil, transmission and differential
Replace all drive belts
Blower motor and resistor
New battery
Spark plugs
Brake fluid flush
Newly installed mercedes exhaust system
4 New continental extreme contact DWS 225/50/16
4 Wheel alignment
Fuel filter
Window switches
Tail lamp gaskets
Antenna gasket
Lube all doors, glass and hinges
Glove box latch
The car runs and drives as well as she looks, and the engine is smooth and retains the famous Mercedes power and torque. The Mercedes Blauschwarz Metallic Paint (#199) is in wonderful condition with great shine and luster. The paint is original on the entire car with the exception of the hood and the trunk; the trunk and hood both have there original factory vin tags. The Creme Beige (#275)leather interior is in wonderful condition and belies the age of the car while verifying the low mileage of the car. The veneers are in good condition but do have some fading and mild cracking. The original radio works well. There is some mild separation on the headliner near the sunroof. With the low mileage and recent work, there can’t be many 560 SEC’s on the market today that are of this caliber condition wise and with such a well known ownership and history. Bid with confidence as this car has a clean Carfax and needs nothing except an enthusiastic new owner!
