1972 Mercedes-Benz 600-Series 600 SWB Additional Info:
The Mercedes Benz 600 is known as the marque's finest car ever built. The epitome of luxury and excess. It's no wonder it was a favorite of world leaders, popes, dictators, celebrities and business mavericks. This particular example is an original survivor that drives and works really well and would be a great candidate for someone who prides themselves in originality but it does need a few details tendered to. The engine on this car has been completely overhauled and George, the expert in Van Nuys whom looked at it when I purchased it said it was in the top 5 engines his seen in one of these examples. The car needs a few details like a brake boaster and the bushings in the back suspension replaced and there are a few little dings here and there but over all it's the best original example I could find. George quoted me at the time around 8K to make all the Mechanical quirks and noises disappear and spruce up the hydraulics which work but he would fine tune and said that the interior could be anywhere from 8K to 25K depending on how original you would want to keep it and how much of the interior you decide to redo. It is an amazing candidate for light restoration to keep it original but classy. NO RESERVE!!! Will sell at the end of this auction. I reserve the right to take car off EBay if an offer comes in. Good luck bidding.
