DETAILS-THIS PARTICULAR 1989 MERCEDES-BENZ 560SL
We are regularly asked to locate very well maintained, California examples of the desirable Mercedes SL cars, especially the 560SL, that many consider the "Best of the Best" in the class of 1980's Mercedes two-seaters. Frankly, many of the SL cars on the market today are not cars that we would consider worthy of consideration for our customers that are looking for high quality, pre-owned Mercedes convertibles. More often than not the available SL cars have not received the necessary maintenance and are in average cosmetic condition. That is certainly not the case with this particular SL. This Mercedes is a very nice example of a pre-owned 560 SL with two owners, beautiful original paint, factory hardtop and a new Hartz canvas convertible top.
HISTORY
This particular Mercedes 560SL is a sought after, last year W107 Mercedes Benz 560SL. The car was manufactured in March 1989. The 560SL has enjoyed a history of ownership by two long-term San Francisco East Bay owners. The first owner purchased the car new from nearby Stead Motors, Walnut Creek, CA passing it on to its current caregiver in 2002. For the last 14 years, the current owner has taken incredible care of the 560SL utilizing only Mercedes Benz technicians for preventative maintenance and any needed repairs. The car has been enjoyed as an "occasional use", weekend car accumulating a documented 5,000 miles per year. The current owner is a long time, repeat customer of ours who is a true Mercedes enthusiast and has judged Mercedes Benz cars as a Concourse judge. He takes exceptional care of his cars and it shows on this lovely example.
