1994 Mercedes-Benz C-Class C280 Additional Info:
What’s up guys and girls, so, if you are taking the time to read this then you appreciate older, vintage vehicles. Not really ones you see on Mecum, those are cool also! But maybe ones you are still drive every day that are unique.
So, the basics are:
- 1994 Mercedes Benz C280 sedan
- I would guess about 150k miles (please keep reading for details on why I say 'about')
- Automatic transmission
At the top of this listing, honestly I do not know how to get someone to buy a vehicle, any vehicle without being able to drive it, experience it, and so on. I will do my level best to describe it and we can go from there.
I have always been a European car guy, my first car was a 1964 Volvo 1800 and the rest is history. I managed Volvo of Savannah service from 2002 to 2014 when I went on my own, and my wife and I opened our own dealership in Savannah. I sell the normal F150's and Camry's but I have an eye for the old and the strange. My hope with this ad is I will be able to reach more people and maybe find that person that appreciates the old school cool look this vehicle has.

Onto the car!
This vehicle is a total time warp.....
ok, so, I have for sale a 1994 Mercedes Benz C280 sedan....I am putting the miles around 150k (keep reading for details) most everything works and this vehicle was built back when cars were cars, and these vintage Mercedes were built like tanks.
SO, the car is:
- 1994 Mercedes Benz C280 sedan
- 2.8 L V6 engine with automatic transmission
- the inst cluster was replaced at some point in the cars life, in 2012 it had 118k miles on it, the odometer now reads 72k miles
- I would say it has around 150k miles
- I have the title in hand
- no accidents reported to CarFax
from a mechanical aspect:
- cranks up every time, newer Advance Gold battery
- runs and drives perfect, transmission shifts perfect
- there are no dash lights on (check engine, SRS, ABS, and so on)
- the underside of the vehicle is dry (no fluid leaks)
- tires are in good condition, all over 75% tread (note the right rear is a Michelin, the other three are Good Rides)
- brake pads were recently replaced
- all the locks, windows, power seat controls work (the driver power headrest does NOT work)
- the sunroof actually works
- all the gauges work properly
- all emblems are intact
- all lights and lens are intact
- the AC and heat work
- new upper control arms (both sides)
- new AC reciever-drier
- upgraded stereo, the power antenna does NOT WORK properly, it goes up about halfway and then the motor just turns until it completes the cycle
- there is a little corrosion about the radio antenna base
- I have one key
From a cosmetic standpoint:
- the body is not perfect, but nice
- the paint is also not perfect, but nice
- the interior of the vehicle, for the age is in amazing condition
- there are no odors, smells, and so on
- the leather interior is in amazing condition
- the kick panel above the driver's knees is cracked on the side. I am trying to find another one but that has proved more difficult that I thought. The side panel is cracked and there is a crack in the plastic below where the ignition is
please note the following:
- YES, the AC DOES WORK
- the center vents sometimes do not blow air, the system in this car is vacuum run, meaning there are a series of vacuum lines that open and close the doors to direct air to the vents, so something is going on with the vacuum lines that direct the center vents
This is a quality, solid vehicle. I can not be the only one left that appreciates old German iron
it is worth every nickel of $3,500
