I Bought this car in 2005 and commuted 100 miles daily until 2010. I've started the car and driven short distances every 2 weeks since. It was painted in 2006 and the front end was rebuilt. I have owned 3 “S” class Mercedes over the years and I've kept this one to restore to a 100 point classic. Due to a disability I can no longer work on cars. It is alloriginal. I bought it from the family of a MB mechanic. It is structurally sound having never been wrecked. I've included photos of the cosmetic issues. The windshield washer doesn't work. The powered door locks do not work. The ignition key has been replaced. The front seat has some switch issues. The rear windows do not work. The climate control works but the AC needs a new compressor. Some of these issues may be only a fuse or a switch. The odometer was not working when I bought it and the estimatedmileageis well over 300K.
It starts every time and smooths out after a minute or two. The car is located 50 miles south of Memphis and 40 miles north of Tupelo MS just off of US 78. This is NOT a parts car however I would not suggest driving it at highway speeds until it has had a once over.
