PLEASE READ BEFORE BIDDING
1983 Mercedes Benz 380SL rare green color with tan leather, soft top and hardtop with 104k miles. I drive it on the weekends as it has Antique plates currently. Car was a barn find and I have other projects and can't get to it any more.
Maintenance-
New Tires
4 wheel alignment
Oil system flush and new oil/filter
Coolant system flush and new coolant
New Catalytic converter and O2 sensor
New spark plugs
Clay bared and waxed 3 coats
New battery
New distributor cap
Replaced all 20 fuses with new ceramic fuses
The good:
Starts and purrs like a kitten
Plenty of power through the range
Transmission shifts smooth
Most everything electrical works
Body panels look great.
No leaks of any fluid
Needs improvement:
Paint is shot
Fuel pump acts up after 20 min will need to be towed if going farther then that.
Seals on doors and windows are dried
High idle issue, it is the idle control computer (common problem on these cars)
No radio
Dash has cracks
Exterior door handles do not function
Heater blower not working
Soft top has some tears but is still functional
This car runs/drives/stops is legal to drive in the state of VA but is still a project car.
