1983 Mercedes Benz 380 SL rare green color with tan leather, soft top and hardtop with 104k miles. I drive it on the weekends with Antique plates currently registered in VA
Maintenance- Have receipts
New Tires
4 wheel alignment
Oil system flush and new oil/filter
Coolant system flush and new coolant
New Catalytic converter and O2 sensor (was missing)
New spark plugs
New fuel filter
I have clay bared and waxed 3 coats to whatever paint is left to conserve it.
New battery
New fuel pump
New distributor cap
Replaced all 20 fuses with new ceramic fuses
The good:
Starts and purrs like a kitten
Plenty of power through the range
Transmission shifts smooth
Most everything electrical works
Body panels look great.
No leaks of any fluid
Needs improvement:
Seals on doors and windows are dried
High idle at the moment that I am diagnosing, but I have replacement parts (common problem on these cars)
Paint is bad from sitting in the sun
No radio
Exterior door handles are broken internally
Heater/AC controls are weak
