1990 Mazda RX-7 FC3S Turbo II Additional Info:
This is a right hand drive JDM Mazda FC3S. This vehicle was highly modified in Japan with what seems to be all of RE Amemiya's aftermarket parts. The odometer shows 18k kilometers. I don't think that is accurate especially considering it's age. I think the vehicle odometer represents the the distance driven since the modifications.
The VIN registered with DMV is 0000000FC3S210367. Ebay's form does not recognize this VIN because it is a JDM VIN.
I purchased this gem in 2015 from the premier importer Japanese Classics LLC. I put their write up at the bottom of the page.
Since I have owned the car I've put less that 10k miles on it. To the car's dismay I have kept it in my garage where I know it is safe. I have invested hundreds of hours and thousands of dollars into perfecting this already beautiful ride. I am selling it because I feel bad for keeping it locked up. Someone needs to buy this car who knows what to do with it. Take it to the track or car car shows, maybe on dates. Do anything but lock it up please.
I am sad to see this car go, I feel as though it defines me. It is so fun to drive. It's very fast, handles amazing, and you do all that from the right side of the car. One of the most fun driving experiences I've ever had. It is so cool to take it out then see pictures of it on other peoples feeds.
In addition to waxing it once a week I have done the following:-Fuel system overhaul: High volume fuel pump, fuel rails, fuel pressure and regulator with pressure gauge, high volume injectors.-Tuned ECU and commander.-Professional tune. (Modest tune and boost at 288hp)-AFR gauge with wide range O2 sensor.-Exedy Stage 2 clutch and aluminum flywheel.-Replaced universal joints.-Rebuilt rear and axle bearings.-Alpine audio system including 6 amplified 6" full range, 4 amplified mid-range woofers, and 2 amplified 12" subwoofers.-4 brand new Yokohama Advan tires.
I only know of these remaining issues:1- The seats are not pristine, they are showing some age. Not in bad shape by any means just not perfect.2- I bottomed out the nose on a driveway and there is a hairline paint crack on the front fender.3- The AC cools but is not necessarily as cold as I would like. May need to have the refrigerant levels checked.4- The speedometer cable makes some noise.I can fix these things but then you wouldn't get any garage time with this beauty.
I'm going to be pretty rigid on the price. I don't have to sell it and I'm not sure that I really want to. Please contact me with questions.
Japanese Classics write up:"
1990 Mazda FC3S RX7This Furin Kazan replica was built by RE Amemiya for the Tokyo Auto Salon and Osaka Auto Messe along with various other shows through out Japan. It features the full RE treatment starting with the exterior. RE Amemiya mirrors, front bumper, side skirts, rear diffuser, GT wing, canards, and headlights help create a race inspired appearance. Pan Speed front fenders and a Tamon GT hood were also used for this build. The exterior is in phenomenal shape overall and the paint has a very unique color. There are no dents or dings and it appears just as it would have at the Tokyo Auto Salon. The exterior is finished off with a set of Enkei RPF1 wheels.
Inside the FC3S is in similar condition. A few aftermarket modifications have been added by RE to go along with the theme of the vehicle. A set of Bride seats and Sabelt harnesses are in place to keep you and your passenger secure. A Sparco wheel, Greddy boost gauge, and Cusco 7 point bolt-in cage have also been installed. The OEM dash and door panels remain in original condition and show little to no signs of wear. The carpet is still in great shape and free of stains.
Mechanically it’s sound and has a number of aftermarket modifications. An upgraded turbo feeds air to the Greddy front mount intercooler and a one off RE Amemiya exhaust helps route exhaust gases. The RE Amemiya radiator is in place to keep engine temperatures in check. The ECU has been retuned to make the most of the performance upgrades. Power is transmitted to the rear wheels via a Cusco Super Single Clutch and Cusco LSD. Cusco front and rear tower bars provide a moderate increase in chassis stiffness. Stopping power is provided by the RE Amemiya front calipers and Project Mu front/rear 2 piece rotors.
If you’re looking for something no one else has – this is it. This RX7 is sure to turn heads everywhere it goes."
