1983 Mazda RX-7 Race Additional Info:
So here's the story... 20 years ago I purchased this car and built it to race. Soon after, my son was born and my wife strongly "encouraged" me to get rid of the car. (Something about my son smelling like exhaust fumes and the fact that the NOS tank was right behind his car seat). :) So, I did. Fast forward 18 years later. The same beautiful woman that asked me to sell my car had been searching for it for almost two years. Turns out, she missed it and knew that I did as well. To her amazement, she found it the next state over. The same guy that I sold it to was now selling it. Sadly, it was not in the same shape it was when I sold it to him. It had been wrecked and sat in his driveway for the past several years. I purchased the car back from him expecting to restore it and relive the days of old. Unfortunately, I have run out of time and money, and my father (who originally helped me build the car) just passed away.
Now I need to move on. I can tell you that in it's hay days, this car was FAST. It has a Street Ported "Killer B" engine (see photo of paperwork), 48IDH Mikuni Side Draft carb. with NOS ports drilled and ready to go, MSD ignition, hood scoop, whale tail, ground skirts, etc.
I would LOVE for someone to bring the old girl back to life.
Please note: This car does NOT run or drive. There is some body rust. This car will definitely need some TLC. The last time I turned the key was 6-months ago. The engine cranked and started but I believe it was only running on one rotor. Buyer responsible for pick up. I will NOT take Money Orders, Cashier's Checks, etc. over the amount in order to "pay the delivery guy". This isn't my first rodeo. $250 deposit due 48 hours after auction ends via PayPal. I am selling this car locally as well so I reserve the right to end the auction early if the Reserve is not met.
I do have the title on hand. Please email with any questions. Thank you.
PS: This engine is a 87 model 13B. And the rear ended is from a 85 GSLSE
