1960 Maserati Coupe 3500GT Additional Info:
I am pleased to offer a client's Maserati 3500GT lost in storage for many years and now available as a complete car with full documentation from Maserati SpA. Last registered 1997, engine matches build sheet and the car has had two previous owners and was imported by the first owner a Navy Pilot from Italy back in the 1960s and has lived in San Francisco area of California . This is a complete car and was running when parked but that was back in the mid 90s. It does not run as of this point but turns over, fuel pumps work, and all lights works. The carb floats are stuck and the car floods as it turns over and has good oil pressure as it cranks. Mileage shown is 113,000 KM.My company specializes in building Vintage Maserati cars and we can restore this car for you if desired. We currently have three 3500 GTs under restoration and know these cars well. This car will need a complete restoration and is a serious project. However when complete this car will be stunning to see, drive and own. We have seen these cars appreciate 400% in the last 4 years and the interest and demand for solid complete cars is high. This car was delivered first to Mr Alfredo Colombo in Milano on May 30th 1960. Original color was white ( Bianco) with medium blue Connoly leather as seen in photos on the rear seat and side panels. The front seats have been poorly recovered in vinyl. Carpets have been changed as well. Engine is 3.5 liters in size with twin plugs typical with all Maserati inline 6 engines. A full matching set of Borrani solid disc wheels and front disc brakes with rear finned drums; power assisted. All Aluminum Touring body over a steel tubular framework. This is a wonderful opportunity to restore and own a iconic Maserati Gt. This car is for sale locally and is subject to prior sale ending the auction early. If you are a serious buyer then you may call for more info etc. The car is located in my workshop in Santa Barbara, California and can be inspected PRIOR to end of auction. I am happy to discuss the restoration process and costs involved or the new buyer can tackle it on their own. Martin 805.895.1226
