1939 Lincoln Brunn Victoria Convertible K9644 58739 miles.Ford built two 1939 Lincoln Brunn Victoria Convertibles, both show cars. Brunn bodied cars are custom built, extremely rare and are hard to find. Collectors that have them generally won’t part with them. Overall, everything came together in the car: exciting styling, luxurious appointments, performance and handling. Henry Ford used Lincoln as a loss leader to prove he could build cars as well or better than any other car manufacturer. It is said that Ford lost money on every one that left the factory. The luxurious interiors of these cars demonstrate the “no expense spared” approach to over-the-top quality of this hand-built custom bodied car.
RARE. This Lincoln Brunn Convertible Victoria is 1 of 2 made for NY World’s Fair & CA State Fair. This is a good dry Western original car with no undercoating. It ran & drives It has always been stored and maintained in a climate-controlled building. This car is in running & driving condition. The previous owner had the engine completely rebuilt and all mechanical work by the late Ernie Foster with new bearings, valves, etc. We drained the gas before we stored the car. Fresh gas was recently added. We did a high quality paint job and hand pin-striping 15 years ago. We re-chromed the bumpers and guards, headlight rims and hubcaps and installed new exact reproduction cloisonne hubcap medallions. New hood ornament. Correct wiper arms. All gauges work. Tires were new when we purchased the car & they are still in like new condition as car was stored on blocks. The interior is a high quality vinyl a nylon carpet in very good condition. The top appears to be original in good condition. No holes. Minor wear. Can be cleaned & dyed to use as-is. Windshield glass is flat & cloudy. I have receipts for substantial engine work done by Ernie Foster 1/14/2005 & new radiator core work done by Polar Radiator Service, Inc 3/31/2006. We offer reasonably priced upholstery services.
