1967 Lincoln Continental Limousine Additional Info:

Super rare and Stunning 1967 Lincoln Continental Limo! Custom interior and beautiful wheels! Awesome for a collector or wanting to enjoy the back seat relaxation! After World War II and the Great Depression, other than Cadillac, most automobile manufacturers called it quits with the coach building business. Clearly, this did not sit well with the folks over at Lincoln, Ford. In September of 1962, two men recognized a rare moment of automotive opportunity: fellow racing enthusiasts George Lehmann and Robert Peterson. Originally, their interaction was limited to the race car world, yet the entrepreneurial instincts of Lehmann and the master mechanic skill set of Peterson would soon bless the limousine manufacturing world with their the spring of 63, Lehmann purchased a Continental Sedan, brought it to a used car lot garage on Harlem Avenue in Chicago. His partner, Peterson cut the car in half, and added 34 inches of reinforced steel to the new gap in the frame. While creative style and genius engineering was underway at the shop, Lehmann set up the meeting in Dearborn for the brass at Ford. The new limousine passed all of Fords testing parameters, and after running strong for over 40,000 miles of road work, the Lincoln Continental Lehmann-Peterson limousine was put into production.Debate exists over the number of units manufactured between 1963-70 before Lehmann and Peterson went onward towards new ventures. While, its estimated somewhere between 429-594 were created, most agree that a total of less than 130 still survive. A many stars and musicians had the privilege of calling the cabin their home away from home, from Elizabeth Taylor to Elvis Presley. The presidential fleet put the Cadillac limousine on the bench, and chauffeured JFK, assassinated in 1963, LBJ, Nixon and Regan. While elite enough to parade Pope Paul VI, it was also so ahead of its time to be featured in the 2011 futuristic sci-fi flic In Time starring Justin Timberlake. This 1967 work of art may be familiar to you Godfather fanatics out there as the limo Pacino and Garcia discuss the Atlantic City hit, our true enemy has yet to reveal himself. . . as the car pulls out from the China Bowl Restaurant, NYC in GF III. Every expense was taken to maintain the cars external authentic appearance, right down to its one of a kind, custom wheels. The engine has been restored, new carburetor, and new engine fluids make sure the car rides as smooth as the 6,000 pound body and V-8 engine were intended to transport her Royal cargo. John Cashman himself, gave it the thumbs up while working on this beauty, just before he retired. Its cabin, while maintaining its original authenticity has been modernized. Illuminated starry ceiling patterns mimicking the Rolls Royces, two flat screen televisions strategically placed in the dividing wall between Chauffeur and passengers, new surround sound stereo to name just a few. For those private intimate moments, the dividing walls window can be closed and the brand new air conditioning unit maintains an icy cold environment for those heated board room discussions. A piece of iconic history, truly a one of kind, head spinning, jaw dropping drivable piece of art.WE MAKE BUYING FUN AND EASY!
