1993Lincoln Mark VIII 4.6L V-8.
280HP, 285 FT*LB Torque (Premium Fuel Required)
NO RESERVE!!! BID TO WIN!
Automatic transmission, works perfectly. Seating for5 in comfort and luxury.Lincoln style at an affordable price. This one isvery nearcollectible quality if clear coat is polished. Smooth, straight running and tight down the road. Excellent ride quality and handling, underside is super clean from a corrosion standpoint. Radio missing.
In great shape but intermittently bubbles over, and coolant escapes through reservior cap. It is completely driveable, but if your trip home isof great distance you'll need to be prepared with extra coolant. The coolant system has noleaks, butit seems as though a head gasket may be inorder in the near future, for convenience as a daily driver if nothing else. Oil and coolant are both clear and clean, no metal and not cloudy. No white exhaust, completely invisiblein warm weather and when accelerating.Runs fine from a driveability standpoint at low speeds, and gets up and goes with pedal down, but in the intermittent power demand range ithas a noticeable misfire. Itdid pass Allegheny County inspection and emissionslast time around, even with the checkengine light on, perhaps due to being OBD I and not II.
The transmission is excellent and all seats are in excellent condition, with no rips, tears or stains. Carpeting is like new.
Power seats. A/C works better than any car we've ever had. Brakes excellent, stop very quickly and smoothly. Tires should pass inspection. No radio but the speaker system is very high-quality and to our knowledge functions properly.Extremely clean and well-maintained vehicle. Will be fully detailed prior to pickup. Vehicle starts, runs, and drives, but has a slight misfire. It can be driven onto a trailer with no problem, if desired. We believe that a small head gasket leak allowing air from the cylinder to be pumped into the cooling system. Since the engine is designed to be liquid-cooled and not air-cooled, this causes overheating. Also, needs a new wiper mechanism to pass inspection.
If you love the Mark VIII's, this is a good one to get.
Here are the reasons the starting bid is ~$2K and not $1K:
REPAIRS COMPLETED:
*Troublesome factory AIR RIDE system from Ford/Lincoln has been professionally replaced with the spring/strut combination shown in photo, specifically tuned to this model. Feels perfect on the road, the right combination of comfort and handling

*Water pump (same rationale)
*Thermostat (same rationale)
*Coolant flush
*Lubed front end

*New spark plugs
*Mother balled light
