We are trying to be fair to all buyers and we do not want non paying bidders bidding up cars that an honest person wants to buy, and being bid up by a person who is playing a game with our account and thousands of other accounts in this country. We want to be fair and square to all real potential bidders. Non paying buyers will be reported to eBay. We hope not to have any.Balance is to be paid by check, cash orwire transfer only. Please send us your name and phone number directly through eBay so we can work out the paperwork and delivery afterdeposit has been made. We charge $150 for paperwork and title transfer and 45 daytags are available for $25.

We sell all cars as-is, which means the buyer isresponsible for any and all repairs, according to the Ohio Buyer’s Guide (includes body, mechanical, frame and interior). We do our best to describe all vehicles as accurately as possible, but keep in mind that opinions may differ and that it’sthe buyer’s responsibility to inspect the car before bidding. We advise all bidders to get a third party to check out the vehicle if they can’t make it out themselves to ensure their complete satisfaction. This must be done before bidding. When you view the pictures of the vehicle, make sure you look at them on a large screen to ensure that you can see all attributes of the car.

If the car starts and runs onto the truck, but it does not start at arrival, that is the buyer’s responsibility (cars may be damaged on a long, bouncy trip). Once the car is paid for, all buyers should put insurance on the vehicle because they now own it. We will work with your shipper or you can call Mike, our shipper, for a rate at 781-763-7447 Ext. 208. We leave all buyers positive feedback. All sales are final. All deposits are non-refundable, so please make sure you know exactly what you're buying before you bid. Our shipper will get the car to you within 4 days to 2 weeks at a fair price. If you'd like to call him for a price, that would be fine.

All cars left on our lot after 30 days will be charged $18 a day and we hope we never have to collect a dime. But we don't have enough space to store everyone's car after they're paid for. It's the buyer's responsibility to pick up their car that they just purchased. Please remember we are on the buyer's side. Please only bid if you are a real bidder who wants to purchase the vehicle, and again, if you haven't purchased 3 items over the last 3 months we will remove your bid. If you're a zero bidder and you bid at the last second just before the auction ends, the vehicle will be offered to the bidder before you and you will not end up with the vehicle, so you need to call us.

We're offering for sale today a rare 1961 Lincoln Continental Convertible. By now you've seen a lot of the pictures of the car and you can see it’s in great shape for being almost 60 years old. I purchased the car about 2 and a half years ago and it did run. I was driving it around, did a few minor repairs, and decided that although the original interior wasn't really that bad, it should be replaced. So I had an upholstery shop replace the interior with exactly the same color combination as the original interior that was in the car, including front and rear seats, carpeting and all the door panels.

I have a lot of pictures in the bottom of the ad and the Flickr slideshow below so you can see more pictures of the interior, exterior, underneath, trunk area and much more. After I got it back with a new interior, I was undecided if I wanted to finish putting the top on, which was missing a few pieces, but I believe all those pieces are in the boxes that I show in the Flickr. I realize if I put a top on I'll probably want to paint it and make the car look brand new. And I know if you sell a car that was repainted, everyone wants to know what was underneath the car, because no one wants to buy a smashed up car or a bondo buggy, and then no one's satisfied with the job you did, because they have their own preferences.

So what I decided to do was to take pictures of the car being how nice it was today, and if the new owner wants to bring it up to the next level by putting a top on and a new paint job, he can. And with the red and white interior, the car could be painted white, red or black again, with a white, red or black convertible top. So the new owner can either drive it casually or turn it into a really clean, luxurious Lincoln.

I'd like to mention some of the things that are wrong with the car I have not yet fixed:

-The car has factory air, but it was not connected. In the pictures you'll see that I have the compressor, condenser, and probably all the parts to put it back together.

-The wipers on the car need to have the mechanical version put back together that's underneath the square piece located around both wipers that comes off, and the mechanical part is under them so both wipers will work correctly.

-The power windows were working when I bought the car, except for one. And after I got the car back from the upholstery shop, none of the windows worked. So being that I'm trying to sell the car and not trying to start a project, I just want the new owner to know that that's something you'll have to fix, plus fix the one window that didn't work.

-The battery in the car is 2 and a half years old. If you drive the car all the time, you'll be fine. If you let the car sit, you'll probably have to replace the battery.

The rear bumper looks to be in really great shape, and the front bumper has a couple peels right below the headlights. Being that it’s such a good color combination in my opinion, I think the lucky winner will have a really cool car to cruise around in. I also would like to mention the engine sounds good, and it does not smoke, the transmission shifts correctly and I hear no noises coming out of the rear end of the car.

The brakes are to the top, so the car is very drivable. The exhaust in the front has one gasket that is leaking that should be fixed to make the car just a bit quieter than it is.We'd also like to mention that the 87K miles are actual and the title is clean.

If you have any questions about the car, feel free to call me at 216-598-7011, because with old cars, everyone has different ideas about what they want to do with them, and sometimes a lot of questions to ask. The car will be sold to the last highest bidder in 7 days when the sale is over.
