1966 Lincoln Continental Additional Info:
Up for sale is my 1966 Lincoln Continental! I am tornwhether to keep it, or put upfor sale, I really like this car, but have to many other cars! I will try to put as much as I know about the car in this listing, if you have any otherquestions please just email me and I will try to reply asap. Also I recommend and feel free to come look at any time if you are local. I have nothing to hide and welcome any inspections. This car will be sold "as is", with a bill of sale, as there is notitle due to age (I also purchased with no title). Also just an FYI, these pictureswhere taken last fall, just before I covered and put away for covered inside storage.
So I am believed to be the 3rd owner. This car Iv'e been told has never seen a winter, and was stored every winterfrom thepreviousowners and it shows. This body on this car isunbelievable solid. This is an original Vermont car, that has stayed in Vermont its whole life, which is even more amazing. Original owner had from new/1966 till 2006/07ish. 2nd owner bought it at an estate sale when the original owner passed. 2nd owner had it at car shows and ran into original owners friends and they confirmed that it has never seen a winter and he pampered the car. When 2nd owner purchased the car, the paint was all original and was cracking, so he had it brought back down to metal and repainted whole car. Was told there was no bondo at all! I can't confirm that, but I do believe it to be true. Paint job is now 8/9 years old and showing age again up close. As you can see it looks great in the pictures, but has itflaws for sure. This car is super straight, with no signs of major body work of any bodywork or repairs other than paint. Also you can see in the picture the very minor bodydamage on passengers side near the wheel and along the bottom. Was told that happened just moving it around in storage. Thevinyl top does need to be replaced, and mostly has peeled off, but is solid.
It has all original 83,310 miles on the 462 motor. It runs well and as any almost 50 year old car could, probably use a tune up if you wished. Tires are white wall, and are weather cracked and should bereplaced, although I did have it on the road to put in storage in November, and they do work and hold air, just would not trust them for a long distance. Tires have plenty of wear left, but really just got weather checked from sitting in storage for most of last 10ish years. Was only driven around 4000miles last 10 years. It has all theusual power options, Most everything works, except I do know the passenger side power windows might need new switches or motors, as they are finicky. Powerantenna, stayspermanentlyup, should be a easy fix. Has black leather seats, in good shape, driver side does have a hole in it where tape is over now. Does have AC, the guy I bought it from said he replaced the AC unit, but just never had the charge put in it, so should work once charged he said, I never charged it.
I have tried to be as honest as possible describing this car, if you have any questions please let me know. Please do not bid unless you have the funds and can meet all expectations of the auction! I am willing toassist in helping you set up shipping, but will not pay for shipping. Sold as is. This is a great car, Iprobablyshould be keeping! Thanks, and happy bidding!
