1967 Lincoln Continental Additional Info:
Are you pimpenough to own this incredible peace of history? This car is amazing! One of the most luxurious vehicles of its' time. Power seats, power windows, power locks, cruise control, air conditioning. Puddle lights on every door. Ash tray and cigarette lighter on every door, and suicide doors to boot!
Ok, maybe you're not a pimp, maybe you're a mobster. This car has one of the biggest trunks ever made. Pile the bodies and shovels, too. And don't worry about the weight either. This car has a 462 big block in it. 350HP. 485 pounds of torque, which is more than most modern trucks have. This thing is a tank. Also thiscar is rear wheel drive, which means you can swing it sideways around a turn when the cops are on your tail. Your Gumad is going to love it. Oh yea, and did a I mention suicide doors?
This car has been sitting for 20 years. I picked it up, hosed it off, wiped it down, and this is how it looks (see pics). I have not tried to start the motor, but the motor is free as I was able to spin it by hand. I'm sure the motor would start right up with some fresh gas, a set of points, and maybe a new starter. I pulled the dipstick, and the oil is super clean. The dipstick looks like it's out of a new car.
You can go a couple of ways with this car. You can leave the paint and body just the way it is, this type of patina cannot be replicated, and has value in and of itself. Throw some big wheels and tires on it, get it running, and go cruise instyle. All the trim is there, excluding thehood ornament. The trim on this car is almost all stainless steel, and while I can't say it's perfect, it shines, check out the pics. Or go the fullresto, which I believe this car is a goodcandidate for, since it's all original with only 23,000mi on it.
The downside of a barn find; no keys and no title. I have drilled out the ignition lock cylinder, so the ignition can be turned with a screw driver. I was able to remove the lock cylinder without damaging the actual switch. New lock cylinders can be had for $20. The trunk has a vacuum operated power lock. I got that open by putting a vacuum on it and the trunk opened right up. Once you get the car running, that can be done with the push of a button.
We have a copy of the title. Depending on the state youlive in will determine how easy or hard it will be for you to get a new title. There are title service companies that can do the foot work for you. Sucks, but it is what it is.
Please feel free to send me a message with your phone number if you have any questions or want totalk to me, or if you want to see the vehicle before purchasing.
These are getting harder and harder to find, so don't miss out!
