This is a 1967 Lincoln Continental Convertible with suicide doors.
We bought it on Ebay in 2012 from a man in Indiana who restored this car for a hobby. We have an extensive folder of receipts that go with this car that is a testament to all the work that has gone into the maintenance of it, s well as the original owners manual.
It has been garaged since we bought it. Due to health reasons, e have to sell the vehicle. Since we have had it, e spent approximately $2,000 to restore the material convertible top with our upholsterer, nd it was done beautifully.
Unfortunately, no longer have the exact description of the detailed work done from the last owner anymore…however, ur receipts from the previous owner show:
The fuel pump has been completely rebuil, here is a brand new battery.
The car was painted according to the 1967 Lincoln Continental paint codes and painted Pitcairn BlueMetallic at the cost of almost $6500.00.
The Van Curler Motor Company receipt we have, hows that the previous owner repaired the automatic temperature control, M-FM Radio, acuum door locks, nd went through all the automatic power vent windows. The timing chain has been replaced, orn pad was replaced, he windows were rebuild to original specification and work properly, eplaced the mufflers, eplaced the tail pipes, here are all new spark plugs, tarter, istributor and rotor. It also comes with a new electric distributor if you would like to update it. The original one has been restored and works adequately.
Some work was done on the AC but not completed.
The previous owner completely rebuilt the ignition system and kept it in the original style, herefore it still has conventional coil and points in the distributor
He restored the workings of the electric top, eplaced hooks and latches, eplaced relay switches, orrected any wiring problems, nd spent $1405 on various mechanisms to the top. The receipt for that work is provided. The deck lid needs to be re-aligned because it isn’t perfect when it closes, ut it does close. A shop familiar with how these tops work could probably adjust the alignment of the deck lid so that it closes perfectly.
Under the hood is all NOS Lincoln parts and is the way it’s supposed to be and correct. I have a photo up to show you what it looks like.
The top end has been completely gone through. They replaced all gaskets including the: oil pump gasket, alve cover gasket, ush rod cover gasket, arburetor mounting gasket, il drain plug gasket, ylinder head gasket, ntake manifold gasket, il pan gasket and thermostat housing gasket. He replaced the motor mounts.
The carburetor was completely rebuilt, ransmission gone through and linkage rebuilt.
The cylinder heads were removed from the block and they were professionally gone through, e have the receipt for $563 for this work.
The body work is not perfect on this car. There is some rust on the car. When we purchased it, he owner sent us a replacement for a portion of flooring that we never got to and we will leave it in the car for the next owner.

Here is a list of parts/items that have been replaced according to the receipts we have: rear view mirror, /F vent switch on master panel, il pan spreader,1 relay cover, ir cleaner, hrottle rod retaining clip, /c wire loom retaining clip, ressure return line, uel pump to carb line, eturn hose with bypass valve, high pressure line pump to intake manifold, ir heated choke kit, uter belt sweeps set, raze manifold, eather stripping was replaced, hift lever, as shock absorber, ower steering rebuild, nstruments in the dash have been replaced and rebuilt, ew radiator hoses, lock has been restored, ew alternator, ll four arm rests were reinforced with metal in the weak areas, ebuilt the power steering pump, oam inside the seat rests have been replaced with new foam, ebuilt cigarette lighter….there are many many more small parts that have been replaced that will be provided to you in the form of the purchase receipts so you can see the extent of work that was done.
We paid $17,000 after license, axes and shipping costs to California, lus we put in $2,000 for the new material top. We are asking less money for this car than we have into it because we would like to price this car to sell. We feel this is still reasonably priced for a desirable car like this.
