1989 LINCOLN MARK VII BILL BLASS EDITION IS IN OVERALL GOOD CONDITION. THIS IS THE SECOND YEAR OF THE MARK VII TO HAVE THE HIGH OUTPUT 5.0 LITRE ENGINE (MUSTANG GT). I'VE OWNED VEHICLE FOR OVER 10 YEARS AND CURRENTLY USE FOR A SECOND CAR TO COMMUTE 120 MILES PER DAY. CAR DRIVES GREAT, DOESN'T LEAK OR BURN ANY OIL, HAS COLD AC AND CONSISTENTLY AVERAGES 24.5 MILES PER GALLON (CLOSE TO 500 MILES PER TANKFUL). CAR HAS ONE SMALL SECTION OF RUST ON DRIVER SIDE REAR QUARTER PANEL ABOUT THE SIZE OF A BASEBALL. AS SHOWN IN PIC, HOOD HAS PAINT PEEL COMMON ON THIS ERA'S VEHICLES, THE REST OF PAINT IS NICE.THE HORRIBLE AIR SUSPENSION HAS BEEN REPLACED WITH HEAVY DUTY SPRINGS. THERE IS A CRACK IN THE FRONT WINDOW NEAR THE INSPECTION STICKERS AND IT DOES NOT AFFECT STATE INSPECTION (PA), WHICH IS GOOD UNTIL THE END OF SEPTEMBER.INCLUDED WITH SALE IS AN ORIGINAL SHOP MANUAL AND A LIKE NEW ELECTRONIC TROUBLESHOOTING GUIDE TO THIS CAR. ALSO INCLUDED ARE MANY PARTS FROM A SIMILAR MARK VII DONOR CAR, THOUGH I CAN'T REMEMBER THE YEAR OF IT. THE ~186,500 MILES SHOWING IS NOT CORRECT. I BELIEVETHE ACTUAL MILES TO BE MATERIALLYLESS.WHEN PURCHASED IN APRIL 2007, THE ODOMETER WASN'T WORKING SO ONE WITH 102,000 MILESFROM THE DONOR MARK VII WAS INSTALLED. THE MILES SINCE THEN, 84,500(186,500 - 102,000), ARE TRUE. THE CARFAX PIC SHOWN, NEXT TO THE LAST PICTURE,SHOWS 17,000 MILES AS OF LATE 1999, AFTER 11 YEARS OF OWNERSHIP. WHAT DID IT HAVE BY 2007? WHO KNOWS. I'M JUST POINTING THIS OUT; I BELIEVE THE TOTAL FROM NEW TO BE LESS THAN 145,000, BUT WE KNOW IT HAS AT LEAST 101,500 (17,000 + 84,500).
THINGS THAT WORK:
AC, POWER DOOR LOCKS, POWER MOONROOF, POWER SEATS, POWER MIRRORS, ELECTRIC DAY/NIGHT AUTO DIM REAR VIEW MIRROR, COMPASS, DIGITAL INFORMATION CENTER (THOUGH SOMETIMES GOES SPASTIC FOR PERIODS) AND POWER TRUNK CLOSE.
THINGS NOT WORKING CURRENTLY:
BOTH POWERWINDOWS ARE OFF TRACKS (MOTORS GOOD) WINDOWS WILL GO DOWN BUT WOULD NEED HELP TO PULL THEM UP, STEREO & CD (BLAUPUNKT MONTREAL) STOPPED WORKING A MONTH AGO DUE TO BLOWN AMP OR FUSE?
OTHER ISSUES:
AC IS COLD BUTI WAS TOLD AN ACTUATOR DOOR IS NEEDED TO CONTROL THE ACTUAL TEMP, CONSEQUENTLY THE TEMP WILL ALWAYS FLASH. YOU CAN CONTROL AC BY FAN SPEEDOR CLOSING VENTS IF TOO COLD. I RARELY USE ANYTHING BUT LOW. SECONDLY I HAVE ONLY ONE KEY THAT WORKS, THE IGNITION; NOTHING FOR DOORS, GLOVE OR TRUNK BUT TRUNK RELEASE IN GLOVE WORKS FINE. THE 5 DIGIT CODE WORKS FINE FORUNLOCKING DOORS.
MANY PARTS (COULD NOT GET ALL PICS OF PARTS DUE TO 24 PICTURE LIMIT) INCLUDE:
AMP, ABS MODULE, 4 LINCOLN CENTER WHEEL CAPS, 4 SPEAKERS (FRONT & REAR), CENTER REVERSE LIGHTS (BOTH), BOTH TAILLIGHTS, VARIOUS DASH CONTROL FACES FOR AC/HEAT, INFORMATION CENTER, ELECTRONIC DASH, VARIOUS SWITCHES, DOOR SKIN CONTROLS FOR POWER SEATS (ONE SIDE, NAVY IN COLOR) AND OTHER MISCELLANEOUS PARTS.
CAR IS SOLD AS IS, WHERE IS AND IS LOCATED ABOUT 10 MILES OUTSIDE OF READING, PA. TERMS ARE $300 BY PAYPAL WITHIN 48 HOURS OF END OF AUCTION AND BALANCE TO BE PAID IN CASH ONLY WITHIN 7 DAYS OF AUCTION'S END.
