This 1960 Land Rover 88 Series II 4x4 received a ‘six-figure’ comprehensive nut-and-bolt restoration by Land Rover specialist builder HHH Heritage. The vehicle was disassembled, refurbished, and rebuilt by HHH’s shop in South Africa in 2021. In 2025, in the U.S., the truck’s original four-cylinder engine was replaced by a remanufactured 1989 Chevrolet 4.3-liter V6 by Green Bay Auto in Wilmette, Illinois. Documentation shows the conversion required custom fabrication, including engine mounting, steering modifications, and modifying the toe board. Modifications to the engine include a Weber carburetor on an Edelbrock manifold. This Land Rover’s history is clean and well documented, with no accident or salvage records. Since its restoration and engine swap, the classic British off-roader has been professionally maintained, including transmission service, axle seal replacement, and steering system adjustments. The Land Rover delivers calm cold starts, smooth idle, strong power, and can be driven anywhere. Priced to sell, I am out space.
