1963 Land Rover Series IIa Five Door Wagon

1963 Land Rover Series IIa Additional Info:

This is a body off the frame restoration, the body was professionally painted in base and clear coats in the original Dark (Bronze) Green color about 5 years ago. As you can see in the photos, it has nicks and bumps from being driven, it’s definitely not perfect or showroom ready, although it is a nice, running, driving 109.

The engine was professionally rebuilt in 2023 by Ted Marsh, and the gearbox was professionally rebuilt in 2022.

Dash instruments were restored by Nisonger before the flood.

Windshield wiper motors have been rebuilt and both are functional.

Tex-Magna turn signal has been restored and is functional.

The generator and starter were professionally rebuilt by a certified Lucas technician.

All five doors are replacements and not original, they were too far gone to restore.

Front seats are mounted on the adjustable sliders.

Hydraulics have been replaced including master cylinders for both brake and clutch, reservoir, cutch slave cylinder, brake lines, wheel cylinders and brake pads.

Six wheels and tires, the wheels are a mixture of 231601’s and 272309’s, all have been chem-stripped and limestone powder coated, all six tires are Cooper Discoverer S/T Maxx 245.75.16.

The steering wheel has been restored by Gary’s in Pennsylvania.

Smith’s round heater, it works, it is a Smith’s front with a new Clayton core and motor.

Door locks have keys and are functional.

Bulkhead has been repaired sometime in the past with new lower door posts and footwells.

Rear crossmember has been replaced sometime in the past, and the front crossmember has been repaired by me where a previous owner cut out the steering relay.

The speedometer shows 93239 miles.

Vehicle is registered in Maine, it is sold as is, no warrantee or guarantee is included, expressed or implied.

It needs:

Headliner is not in great shape, it’s warn and brittle as you can see in the photos. There aren’t any door cards installed or included with the sale. The paint on the roof is flaking as you can see in the photos. The mid-row seat doesn’t have any tears or holes but would benefit from being reupholstered. The seals on all the doors are new, the doors will need some adjustment as the seals soften and take their set. There are no rear-view mirrors, both the front wings and front door hinges have mirror mounts.
