This Range Rover starts up and runs but will not move forwards or backwards and will need to be towed. Truck is located in Washington DC. It needs transmission work of some kind--or a new transfer case, not sure. Everything else works, lights, radio, windows seats, signals, heat, air conditioning (new compressor but needs to be filled. Retrofitted for new coolant gas.) It is all original except for a few necessary mods: Old Man Imu damper, coil moved from engine to side. Original "Broadchurch of London" roof rack. (rusty in places but could be fixed.) Has coil and shocks suspension, not the troublesome air suspension. Does not have ABS. Much money has been spent on this truck over the years. New parts/work in the last couple of years include: New brakeline at rear, new ac compressor, new radiator, top half of engine rebuilt, new master cylinder/power brake booster, new power steering pump. The truck is rusty in the usual places--around the back door jambs (see pics) and around the rear window--but the frame is solid and overall it's a solid truck. Footwells have been patched. Again this Range Rover does not move forwards or back and will need to be towed. Could be parted out or fixed and used as a farm truck or beach buggy; it's been all over the beach on the Outer Banks and does great in heavy sand. I have priced it very reasonably; the values of these Classic Range Rovers have gone up, good ones going in the $20K range, really good ones closer to $40K. Have second set of "Artillery" wheels & tires; and some extra parts, including a set of blue-grey leather seats in good condition. (If you want these items, it's $500 extra.) Payment in full via cash or cashier's check expected within ten days of close of sale. Truck must be picked up within ten days of close of sale. A flat bed will be needed; you can't tow Range Rovers flat because of the 4-wheel drive. |
