1985 Land Rover Defender 110 Additional Info:
History of the Land Rover 110
After a successful run with the Rover Series vehicles, the early 1980's brought a change to the Land Rover lineup. The introduction of the Discovery line meant that a new name was needed to designate the popular rugged off-road workhorse.
The Land Rover One Ten model was the long wheelbase model and it was joined by its short wheelbase sibling the Land Rover Ninety in 1984. These were the first Land Rover “Defender” models although the name “Defender” had not been coined for them yet. The new Land Rover One Ten and Ninety used the Range Rover V8 engine and transmission as had been fitted to the Series III Stage One V8, complete with a lockable central differential giving the vehicle permanent four wheel drive, and featuring high and low range gears for on and off-road use.
The County Station Wagon model distinguished itself from the line of workhorse Rover vehicles by offering upgraded interior packages, more comfortable seating, and various design options. This 1985 Land Rover 110 is an exceptional surviving example.

The Vehicle Story
This particular One Ten came from a friend of ours in the UK. He restores a few cars each year and we adopt them from him. This was a case of a vehicle he found that needed to be kept in as original condition as possible. He sent us some photos and we jumped on a plane go go check it out. She spent most of her life in a dry climate, with at least a good part (if not all) of her years living in Port de Pollença, Mallorca, España (Spain). We were afraid to detail her because the smell of her original interior was so good.

The Bishop+Rook Story
Bishop+Rook started as a film production project focused on documenting the history and culture of Land Rovers across England. It wasn’t long before we realized there was a great need and desire from people in the US to experience these wonderful vehicles. After nearly a year of hard work and research our first batch of vehicles were shipped in and we begun the process of restoration in order to make them available to the public.

We are more than willing to answer questions via eBay or do a Facetime walk around of the vehicle for serious bidders. Our shop is located about 15 minutes from the Minneapolis/St. Paul Airport. We can help arrange shipping for those interested.
We also offer upgrades and restoration services for those interested in more updated vehicles.
