We bought it with 149,850 miles on it, and it now has 154,500 miles.
It has extensive records going back as far as 1993, including initial delivery to 1st owner.
In the two years that we've had it,
-replaced the headliner (including sun roof slider), which came out great
-replaced lettering on hood and gate
-we installed a tune up kit (plugs, cables, distributor, etc.) from ABritish,
-replaced a broken flex plate,
-installed a rebuilt transfer case,
-replaced viscous coupler
-cleaned hub and replaced wheel bearings, seals
-replaced brake pump and new accumulator
She runs very well. Always starts and has a very smooth ride.
There is no rust as it is was a SoCa vehicle and we were very careful to keep the salt off her these past two years. As my son drove it mostly to school and work here on Long Island, it didn't really get into salt anyway. He also did a couple of road trips back to Boston to see his buddies this summer and last.
The only hint of rust (for the fault finders) is 1 chip on the hood. There are two other scratches on the tail gate which is down to metal but no rust there. I keep applying FluidFilm rust and corrosion protection to them. There's one final "spot", but it is not rust, just a worn spot in the paint (from what I do not know) and is very small as you can tell. It is located just behind the hood on the drivers side.
You can see from the pictures, it is a very clean truck. It gets lots of compliments and turns heads.
If you prefer you can let her take on a faded patina, but if I were going to keep her, I think I would give her a new clear coat to retain the nice bright shine, but the current clear coat is nearly gone.
Remote locks work, as well as A/C, and electrical seat adjustments (which is a plus for these older RRCs).
The only things that are not functioning are the heated seats and cruise control, which is typical with vehicles of this age.
It has a nice lift on Terrafirma shocks and springs. The LR sawtooth rims look great in my opinion, but I do not have original rims for this RRC.
It has a nice Sony MEX-XB100BT CD Receiver with BLUETOOTH Wireless Technologyand a bunch of other features.
I do have the fuse cover plate, but one of the plastic tabs broke off and it is superglued and drying now.
I do have the front lower spoiler with fog lights, but it has never been on since we bought the vehicle. We liked it without and had thought we'd put on a front skid plate, but never did. The spoiler will be included.
If I have forgotten anything, I'll add it later, but please feel free to ask questions.
