1972 Land Rover Other station wagon Additional Info:
A great daily driver with the top on or off. Its on a galvanized chassis that will not rust (installed, a $6000 value), which is really the greatest expense of driving one of these. Here are the other things that have been taken care of
New:Brake master and wheel cylinders, pads, flex lines and servoClutch plate, disc, throwout bearing, master and slave cylinder, flex linewater pump and thermostat and hosesfuel tank, sender, pump, linesrebuilt weber carbshocksHercules traildigger tiresbumpernew foot boxes, uninstalled. I was quoted $250 per footwell to install them.
This rover handles great around town and on the trail. The series 3 has a fully synchronized gearbox and power brakes. Someone who owns a series rover should be prepared to check and maintain fluid levels and replace some of the tired 40 year old bits I haven't gotten to. Ill be happy to go over all of the maintenance fun with the new owner.
The previous owner treated it to a Maaco paint job thats peeling. The seats need to be recovered.the speedometer needs a new drive gearRoof rack and car seat not included. This is listed locally, and this auction will be cancelled if sold locally.Happy to answer all questions about the rover.
