1986 Jeep CJ Additional Info:

The last "real" Jeep was made in 1986! This is a nice, honest CJ with 85,830 original miles. 258 cu in 6 cyl, mated to one of the strongest transmissions AMC offered...the T 176 4 speed.
Tub was removed from the frame and restored using original gauge sheetmetal in driver's floor, both wheelhouses, and rear floor. A nice base/clear was then applied using PPG Sebring Red, an original 1986 AMC Jeep color. Frame was painted, shocks, fuel and brake lines replaced as needed. 20 gallon plastic fuel tank with new sender and filler hoses. Wheels were given a fresh coat of silver.
Motor was rid of all the non essential emissions hoses, wires, etc. Nice, clean engine bay, and easy to care for. Original Carter carb was replaced with brand new reliable Weber 32/36. Plugs, wires, all filters, and hoses replaced. New exhaust is from a model year 1978 CJ, the last year before catalytic converters were used. The result is nice throaty, powerful exhaust. This motor can breath! Alternator rebuilt. Rear brakes and E brake cable replaced (front brakes have plenty of life left). Brake master cylinder was replaced. This drivetrain should outlast the Jeep!
Tub was lined using Herculiner, a good tough liner that will stand up to anything. I even threw in some fitted front floor mats! Undercoating was used under the Jeep...this is one clean Jeep with a great frame!
All seat belts were replaced. Notice the original "CJ" seats. These are getting more rare and valuable! Tilt wheel, chrome bumperettes, side steps, chrome front bumper, chrome grill overlay, and stripe kit complete the Renegade package. Rear tow hitch with wiring. Hardtop included in the sale.
I reserve right to end auction early as vehicle is listed forsale locally.
