1994 Jeep Wrangler YJ 4X4 One Ton Running Gear, 6.0 LS Swap – 366 HP / 387 TQ, Atlas 128:1 Crawl, Dana 60s, Rust-Free
Front to rear custom built for any terrain — snow, mud, rocks, crawling, or highway. Under the hood, outside, and inside, everything has been highly modified, rebuilt, or replaced with new parts. This Jeep was originally outfitted as a local Search and Rescue (SAR) tool (SAR4X4 plates will be kept by me). It has proven itself many times in training and real calls, including successful runs on the Rubicon and Fordyce trails.
Rust-Free & Care
No rust on the frame or body. I have personally inspected every inch — over, under, inside, and all around the tub. The tub interior was fully stripped when installing the heated Corbeau seats: carpets pressure-washed, tub thoroughly cleaned, and painted with Rust-Oleum matte black. All seat hardware was painted. The Jeep has always been garaged, well protected with coatings on paint and interior, and cleaned after every muddy or dirty use — never put away dirty. Photo's of inside available.
Engine & Maintenance
2004 Silverado 6.0 LS with approximately 114,000 miles when installed. Post-swap miles are under 15k. The engine is tuned and runs strong. I change the oil after major trail runs (like Fordyce) to keep it fresh, using Castrol 5W-30 partial synthetic, and just performed a fresh oil change. Recent dyno by a respected local high-performance tech is available (video and graph — 266 hp / 287 lb-ft at the wheels, peaking around 5300 RPM; flywheel estimates align with listed 366 hp / 387 tq).
Key Build Highlights

• Clean LS swap: Front end (winch, radiator, driver fender, etc.) was fully removed to install the engine and transmission as one unit — photos available.
• Full professional rewiring: Entire dash and under-hood wiring redone, with all under-hood wiring neatly routed in a professional-looking loom. New Raynes 12-fuse panel, labeled relays, dual Optima batteries with VSR isolator.
• Drivetrain: 4.56 Dana 60 front (Chevy, powder coated) and rear (Ford, Yukon heavy cover) with Spod-controlled electric lockers. Atlas 4.3 gear-driven transfer case — 128:1 crawl ratio (1.8 mph @ 2,000 rpm). Rebuilt Dodge NV4500 5-speed manual with 5.6:1 first gear and 5th gear overdrive (70 mph @ 2,000 rpm).
• Steering & Suspension: Recently rebuilt with new heim joints and professionally aligned less than 10k miles ago. PSC 1,600 psi steering box + damper. Spring-over conversion with 1.5" body lift.
• Tires & Wheels: 38.5 x 12.5 x 17 Truxus tires on aluminum beadlock rims (good tread remaining) with balancing beads. Matching spare on heavy swing-away carrier.
• Other upgrades: Warn 10k winch, ARB onboard air compressor, powder-coated rock sliders/skid plates/body armor, LED lighting (including underbody and reverse), heated Corbeau high-back seats, custom rear fender storage boxes, new Kenwood radio + Uniden CB + ICOM ham, 4K dash cam, new wiper motor/seal, and more.

Highway Note
The large 38.5" Truxus tires excel off-road but can feel bouncy or floaty at cruising speeds on the highway — typical for aggressive balloon-style tires on a short-wheelbase crawler.
Condition Notes
Passenger door canvas has a patched rip (visible inside and out). Soft top has a patched rip above the passenger rear window. Machete and axe mounted on the tailgate do not come with the Jeep.
