If you’re a Jeep J-series fan and are looking for a nice driver or for a super solid restoration project, consider my 1977 J20, 360 2bbl V8, T18 four speed manual, 3.73 axle ratio truck. It came to me in Minnesota from New Mexico. I completed the installation of the supplied remanufactured engine and necessary related work in 2021. From that time it has served as one of my summer drivers. The new engine was installed at 73000 and now has 82000 and runs great. Other work completed along with includes: (clutch) (custom reproduction exhaust) (steering gear & hoses) (front leaf springs/shocks) (brakes) (front wheel bearings & hubs) (rear axle shaft seals) (service transmission, transfer case, differentials, seals/gaskets) (General AT4 LT265/75R16 tires) (belts/hoses/filters) (HEI ignition, wires/plugs) (poly fuel tank), among others. The AC system is intact. I never attempted to use it. And, it is all there. The cruise control functions. The wiring harnesses are in nice, original condition except for the minor ignition requirements. Everything works. All lights and instruments. It does need a new windshield was bottle. All windows and doors operate crisply, though the front windshield is cracked. The seat is reupholstered original. The dash pad is destroyed from the NM sun and there is some damage to the metal dash from sound system related (?) work. I will include a complete dash assembly with instruments, wiring harness and nice dash pad. The body is original, never ever any body work! It is very nice for an original 49-year-old truck. There is some rust in the floors, which I started to repair a couple years ago but never finished. The are some “pimples” beginning to show on the tops of the rear fender flares. The inside of the rear flares is scaly rust and will need to addressed soon. There are some dings in the sheet metal. The most noticeable blemishes are on the cab roof and the front of the RF fender, behind the bumper. It really does run, drive and look nice! I would really like to give it the attention it deserves but I don’t see it happening for at least several years so I really should let it move on to someone else.
It does not include the topper!!!
