The last year, and a partial year at that, of the Willys CJ2a before moving to the CJ3a with the 1piece windshield.
For what I have been able to find, this Jeep has spent all of its time in New Mexico and Arizona. I do not know the length of time that it has not been on the road but I would guess quite a while. There is no rust I have been able to find but there is quite a bit of body damage. With that, nothing significant but definitely shows trail use. In addition, there has been additional metal welded or riveted on top of the preexisting body metal along with a front tow bar for pull behind tasks and a storage box with additional parts.
I have a clean accurate mileage Arizona title in my name showing almost 80k miles.
Appears to be complete but will need windshield and gauge glass and all the usual sitting vehicle stuff - I have not done any work to it with my four years of ownership. I had plans, but those seem unlikely to come to fruition now. Would be a great trail/fun/weekend rig but definitely could be restored easily enough since most everything is there.
Seats are in good shape but will probably start tearing once used since they have been sitting in the heat for a long time. Wheels are 15x9.5 and are not original units - they do look great though. Engine and transmission appear to be stuck together through the clutch as I can get some play/sounds when trying to shift or engage the clutch and/or trying to turn the engine but not completely enough to say anything will for sure work.
Engine is the Go-Devil 134ci Flathead 4cyl equipped with the BorgWarner toploader T-90 3spd manual transmission and Dana 18 Transfer case. Axles are the Dana 25 in front and Dana 44 in rear.
Short consensus would be that this is a wonderful relatively complete and original last year of the 2piece windshield WWII era Willys Jeeps that is ready to be a fun project while having a lot of the good and not a lot of the bad. A lot of options to go from here, all great. If you have any questions just let me know.
