Please read the entire description. Sold as-is. No tire-kickers, as all questions should be answered below. You either want one of these or not.1966 CJ5 Kaiser JeepSOLD AS-IS. Please read. Currently registered and inspected in New York. It is road worthy.• Dauntless v6 Buick engine (stock from the factory).• 79,000 original miles• 3-speed with granny gear• Frame is in very good condition for the year. No weld-jobs. Vehicles in NYS do not pass inspection if there is frame rot.• New Starter in 2022• New Battery in 2022• New Shocks in 2021.• Dual exhaust. New system (from headers to rear bumper) in 2021.• New Heater Core in 2022. Heat works good, and the fan for summer is nice too.• Oil changes every fall.• Tires have great tread, with no cracking.• No power steering. As long as you keep the tire pressure correct, you won’t have an issue.• It does have RUST on the tub from being a plow truck all its life. A few small holes on right rear. Tons of bubbles, but always washed after every storm, and always stored in garage. THIS IS NOT A SHOW TRUCK. Holes on inner fender/wheel wells covered with diamond plate.• Updated Meyers angling plow with controls mounted on dash (electric/hydraulic). Three toggle switches, with the third switch operating the roof LED’s. Plow fluid changed every fall.• Updated LED headlights, and LED bulbs in the rear.• Turn signals work, hazards work, horn works.• Runs a little rich(mostly in winter), but fine with the choke out. It’s got a Rochester carb.• Wipers work fine, with new blades last fall.• Radio works, but not the best. It works better with cassette tapes going.• Doors are okay – driver side had a long slice in it, but covered with exterior door rubberized tape, just so it wouldn’t leak – yes I even take it to the automated carwash.• Top is okay for the year, but could be replaced soon. Rear zippers are starting to pull off/pull away. A couple of the buttons are missing also (near both doors).• New seatbelts – just need to be installed.• No rear seat – fuel tank is mounted on the drivers side, with some cargo space left over.• Runs as it should, plows like a bear. Has locking hubs.• Four-wheel works good, but the linkage got disconnected. I just haven’t had time to get underneath to re-attach (easier with a lift).• It could use a main seal replacement. Occasional drip of oil in the summer months.• Odometer and fuel gauge do not work, but I have a brand new one in the box.• Two sets of keys.• I have a newer Jeep Wrangler rain cover which fits it, if you plan on keeping it outside.• Has current NYS inspection – This Jeep is road worthy. Driven mostly on weekends, and during snow storms. No more than 15 miles per year since I have had it.• No title for this year, just a transferable registration. I will sign it once payment/pickup is made.Hagerty appraisal is close to $7000 without the plow, in this condition.SOLD AS-IS. Buyer is responsible for shipping/ or picking up.
