1986 Jeep CJ Additional Info:

This is a beautiful 1986 Jeep CJ7 that my brother and I have rebuilt (more than once) over the 25 years I have owned it. It currently has a Chevy 383 stroker small block, 5 speed transmission (NV4500), Dana 300 transfer case, Dana 44 front and rear axles (the front axle was out of a 1978 Wagoneer that we narrowed). The blue paint was added about 5-6 years ago and is in good condition. There are a few minor rust areas (small on the front of the hood and some around the windshield hinges). The Tub is a galvanized steel tub from a 1987 Jeep Wrangler so there are NO RUST HOLES in it! The tub was also sprayed inside and out with a bed liner spray to seal the metal and to provide a non-slip surface on the inside. Most of the lighting has been converted to LED and a new Painless wiring harness was used when the body tub was changed. The tires are Falken 35" x 12.5 x 15 (comes with a spare tire and wheel - matching). There is a security console between the front seats (I think it is a Tough Brand) The rear seat is a fold and tumble seat (OEM).The engine was installed about 18 months ago and is a built 383 stroker (425 hp projected) with aluminum heads. At that time all of the accessory drive items were replaced - water pump, alternator, and power steering pump. The engine is fed by a Holley Sniper fuel injection unit that makes this vehicle VERY reliable! At that time the radiator was replaced with a 3 core, aluminum radiator.Within the past year, the axle ratios were changed to 4.10 : 1 and both axles were rebuilt along with the brakes system. You won't find a more reliable and capable CJ7 on the market today! This jeep comes with a fiberglass hard top (was painted black the same time the body was painted), full steel doors, and a tan bikini top. Also, comes with a PILE of spare parts I've collected over the years. And a large notebook of records, part #s, projects, ideas, etc...The total miles are approx 130K, but over the years I have replaced just about every part on this vehicle. It is just time for it to go to a different home. I will take more pictures and add them to the listing as I go along. DM if there is anything specific you would like to see.
